Week #7, Project 52 – “No sense in grousing about it…”
It’s been an absolutely beautiful week in the interior with bright sunny skies and temps topping out near 70. Took an early morning drive out Chena Hot Springs Road to see what might be moving about. Not much wildlife, but I did notice that Mother nature has once again unveiled the secret of the magical pickup truck. You know, that’s one of those trucks where when you throw plastic groceries bags, fast food wrappers, paper cups, empty beer cans and such in the back all winter long, it all magically disappears before you get to where you are going. The community has it’s spring cleanup effort next week, so I guess there is no sense in grousing about it.
Which gets me to this week’s photo. I believe this is a male Spruce Grouse, sampling the warm weather and the gravel a few miles into the Chena Hot Springs Road Recreation Area. Neither one of us was that impressed with the other, but we each had a task to accomplish…
